Information and Trip Listings
Flatwater canoeing and kayaking is an excellent way to enjoy the beauty of New England. Trips are scheduled during the spring, summer, and fall on quiet rivers and lakes. Generally, they are one day and within a one or two hour drive from Boston. Most trips require very little experience; however, on more difficult trips, the leader may require participants to have more paddling experience.
Contact the trip leader to sign up for a trip.
The Paddlers Committee charges a Club fee of $1/person for flatwater trips. This fee supports Paddlers Committee programs. Trip Leaders, Coleaders, and children under the age of 18 do not pay a Club fee. Those who are not members of the AMC are welcome on our trips, but are charged a guest fee of $4/person. We encourage you to join the AMC.
We have two 16-foot Penobscot canoes and one Grumman canoe available for rental. You must be able to transport your own boat. Reserve boats through the trip leader.
